The perfect cottage for a family of 4

At Patat cottage is situated within Langezandt Fisherman’s Village in Struisbaai. It is a relaxing 2-hour drive from Cape Town, through the Cape Overberg region. This cottage is nearby Cape Agulhas, the southermost tip of Africa. A visit to the charming fishing village of Struisbaai is highly recommended.

The open plan kitchen-lounge area walks out onto the back yard where you will find a covered braai area. The cottage comprises a cozy living area with a fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, and an outdoor terrace with a built-in braai and dining table is also provided. Inside the cottage are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed with en-suite shower. The other bedroom has 2 three-quarter beds. There is a second bathroom with shower over bath. There is uncapped wi-fi and it is pet friendly.

Guest access: The whole cottage is available for guests. Please note that a few cupboards may be locked where the owner’s personal effects are stored.

Other things to note: Please note that this is a self-catering house.

We do supply the following:

Linen, bath towels and extra blankets
Braai grid
1 toilet roll per toilet
Dishtowels
A little bit of dishwashing liquid
An extra black bag for refuge – there will be a bag in the bin already
Multi-purpose liquid soap at washing basins

Do not forget to bring the following with you:

• Beach towels
• Wood (if you want to braai) as well as fire lighters
• Extra cleaning materials that you might need – do not forget extra toilet paper if 1 roll per toilet is not going to be enough for your stay. Please note that we use only one ply toilet paper in this house. Our town makes use of septic tanks, and 2 ply toilet paper tend to block the sewerage systems
• Spices, coffee, food etc. as this is a fully self-catering house

Kindly note that you are not allowed to braai in the indoor fireplace. Use this fireplace to create a cozy warm atmosphere.
